Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of quantfol.io and its subdomains (the "site"). The site is operated by Quantfolio AS, a company registered in Norway under organisation number 915 210 600 ("Quantfolio", "we", "us"). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. What this site is
The site describes the Quantfolio Platform and the company behind it. It is marketing and reference material. It is not the product, and access to it grants no right to use the product.
2. Relationship to a customer agreement
If your organisation licenses the Quantfolio Platform, that use is governed by the written agreement between your organisation and Quantfolio. That agreement takes precedence over these terms in every respect. Nothing on this site varies, extends or limits it, and no statement here forms part of it.
3. Using the site
You may read, link to, and quote the site with attribution. You may not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or the systems behind it;
- interfere with its normal operation, including by automated request volumes that degrade it for others;
- use it to distribute malware or unlawful material;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us through it.
Automated agents and crawlers are welcome within the limits published at /robots.txt and subject to the same restrictions above.
4. Information you send us
The contact, demo and partner forms collect the details you enter so we can reply. How that data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy. Do not send confidential information, personal data about third parties, or client data through these forms.
5. Intellectual property
The site's content, design, text, diagrams and the Quantfolio name and logo are owned by Quantfolio or its licensors. Product names, logos and screenshots belonging to other companies are the property of their respective owners and appear here for identification only.
Screenshots on this site are taken from a demonstration environment with fictional data. They do not depict a real client, portfolio or institution.
6. No advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing on it is an offer or recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument. Quantfolio is a software provider. It is not a licensed investment firm and does not provide advisory services to investors.
Where the site refers to regulation — including MiFID II, IDD and related rules — it describes what the software is built to support. Responsibility for regulatory compliance rests with the licensed firm operating the platform, not with Quantfolio.
7. Accuracy and availability
We work to keep the site accurate and current, but it is provided "as is". Product descriptions reflect the platform as it stands at the time of writing and may change. We may alter or withdraw any part of the site, or these terms, at any time; the effective date above tells you when this version was published.
Sourced claims on this site carry the date on which they were checked. Where a claim concerns a third party's product, it reflects publicly available information as of that date.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, Quantfolio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, or for decisions taken in reliance on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Third-party links
The site links to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Bergen tingrett as the agreed venue at first instance.
